Paul EvansPaul Evans is a Consultant Research Scientist at Chevron Energy Technology Company in the Facilities Engineering Department. He earned a BSc in Geological Sciences from Leeds University and a PhD in Geological Sciences from Manchester University in the United Kingrom. Paul has 22+ years working in technical disciplines of production chemistry and water management. Prior to Chevron, he worked for 2 years as structural geologist for GeoScience Ltd. including analysis of geostatistical data and then for 10 years for Oil Plus Ltd in water management including oilfield microbiology, scale management, well performance, chemical treatment and flow assurance. Paul joined Chevron in 2007 in the ETC Global Technology Center in Aberdeen and relocated to Houston in 2011 where he works as a consultant in water management and is a Subject Matter Expert in water treatment, reservoir souring and oilfield microbiology, production chemistry (with a focus on H2S scavengers and microbiological control). He is an industry leader in souring management and key developer of the SourSimRL reservoir souring simulator.
