Jagan MahadevanJagan Mahadevan, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at The University of Tulsa. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Central Electrochemical Research Institute, India and M.S., Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He received the John and Mary Booker Graduate Fellowship at The University of Texas. Dr. Mahadevan's research interests are in prediction and optimization of well performance of unconventional reservoirs such as tight gas sands, shale gas and heavy oils. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), American Chemical Society (ACS), and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). He serves as a technical editor for the SPE Reservoir Engineering & Evaluation and the SPE Journal.
