Bio

Erin IskiA native of Tulsa, Erin V. Iski, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The University of Tulsa. She received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from The University of Tulsa in 2005 and a Ph.D. from Tufts University in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Charles Sykes. While at Tufts, her research focused on the surface chemistry of large molecules on metal surfaces as studied with Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM). Utilizing the powerful instruments in the Sykes Lab that were capable of low temperature scanning (down to 5K) and ultra-high vacuum conditions, Dr. Iski successfully published over 15 peer reviewed publications. After working as a post-doc at Argonne National Lab, Dr. Iski joined The University of Tulsa (TU) in 2013. The focus of the Iski research group at TU is centered on the use of ambient, liquid STM to study the self-assembly of amino acids on metal surfaces. In addition to working with TuCoRE, Dr. Iski is also a member of the Institute of Nanotechnology and the Erosion/Corrosion Research Center at TU.
