Why The University of Tulsa?

The University of Tulsa is a mid-size, four-year, private university featuring highly personalized study for 4,165 students. The College of Engineering & Natural Sciences (ENS) offers over 30 undergraduate and graduate degrees in nine academic departments. Student-to-faculty ratio is 11:1; all courses are taught by faculty. ENS enrollment is 1,262; 71% male, 29% female. Approximately 29% are international.

TU's Department of Petroleum Engineering offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. All 11 faculty members possess Ph.D. degrees and provide expertise that spans the three principal subdisciplines of petroleum engineering - reservoir, drilling, and production. In addition, faculty members are widely published and have served as technical editors of prestigious journals and as consultants for many industry entities.

The M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are designed to produce graduates with a high level of competence in the broad field of petroleum engineering. Graduate research is conducted in reservoir simulation, well test analyses, reservioir characterization, multiphase flow in pipes, mechanics of tubulars, cuttings transport, formation damage, artificial lift and enhanced oil recovery.
